July Savings Month

July Savings Month is SASI’s annual national savings awareness campaign.  We partner with financial experts, NGOs, community organizations, media owners, financial services companies and government departments to educate, drive awareness and promote healthy debate around saving.  In 2020, the #waystosave campaign including an educational portal will launch.

Festive Season Savings Campaign

While the spirit of giving characterises the Christmas season, we believe that responsible spending is the best option for any household. New Year financial responsibilities, such as school fees, come only too quickly in the New Year. This education campaign helps South Africans enjoy the festive season, while also enabling them to meet their financial commitments going forward.

Teach Children to Save South Africa

Teach Children to Save South Africa (TCTS SA) aims to take the savings message to young people, equipping them with the basic financial skills to help them become better savers now and in future. Volunteers from the financial sector exchange their boardrooms for classrooms and deliver a 1 hour lesson to learners in Grades 4-7 in schools across the country.

Varsity TVET College Financial Literacy

Many graduates go into the labour market with little understanding of how to manage their finances. Most are ill-equipped to properly manage their salaries or realise the importance of an early start on retirement saving during their working years. The SASI varsity savings campaign aims to raise the level of awareness among students about the benefits of savings and educate them on financial planning.

SASI is governed by a diverse Board of Directors who promote the work of the Institute to all sectors of society.
